My Story

I have always been interested in holistic health and helping people. Growing up, while my mom did make sure to take me to the pediatrician when needed, she also would take me to some alternative therapies such as reiki and a homeopathic practitioner. Going to see the homeopathic practitioner sparked a high interest in all things holistic wellness for me. While I decided ultimately to pursue a career in nursing, I would always seek out holistic remedies for things rather than taking the typical western medicine route. I believe western medicine can be necessary and definitely has a time and a place, but for overall wellness, I think there are so many options out there for everyone!

After graduating from Indiana University with a nursing degree, I knew I wanted to be in the NICU taking care of babies so that's where I stayed for 10 years and absolutely loved it!

When I became pregnant with my first daughter in 2018, I knew I wanted to go a more holistic route and chose to see a group of midwives. I also had a wonderful doula with me that helped my husband and I feel so supported throughout the labor process. She was actually the one who ended up recommending we take my daughter to a CranioSacral Therapist when we realized she had a lip and tongue tie that was causing a lot of breastfeeding issues. In a few short sessions, my daughter was more relaxed and able to latch so much easier, and even things like the shape of one of her eyes changed. After that, I knew that I wanted to make a career change and become a CranioSacral Therapist.

When I became pregnant with my second daughter, I experienced some sessions for myself and I was able to get instant relief from the persistent sciatic pain and heartburn I was experiencing. It was also incredibly relaxing!

I took my first training in CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute in November 2020 and became Reiki Level 2 certified in August of 2021.

While I specialize in babies, children, and helping women through pregnancy and beyond, I believe everyone can benefit from this wonderful modality! Due to the fast paced nature of our world now, everyone could use some time to unwind and allow their central nervous system some time to calm down.

What is CranioSacral Therapy?

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle hands on approach that releases tension deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction, and to improve whole body health and performance. Using a soft touch, I help the body release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. It is used as a preventative health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease and its effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction and even things such as anxiety, PTSD and depression.
